A Venetian blind is a style of window covering consisting of horizontal slats that overlap and are normally drawn together and lowered by drawing a string. The slats are normally made of a hard material, like aluminum, and they move together thanks to a network of wires that pass through the blinds. The glass panels have these shutters built right into them. The issues with damage and fouling are resolved by this new kind of blind. In order to maintain the sealing inside the insulating glass, we typically use cords, magnets, and motors for transmission.
