Daylight, set to the angle the room needs.

The blind sits permanently between two panes of toughened glass, so dust never reaches it and nothing needs cleaning or repair. The sealed air gap adds thermal insulation and acoustic control, and UV-resistant components keep sunlight from fading floors, furniture and finishes. Three configurations, each manual or motorised, fit wooden, UPVC and aluminium frames in fixed panels, openable windows and sliding doors.

Shading is one of five Window Techs divisions, run from Jaipur, where the group’s campus at Mahindra World City covers 8 acres. The group dates from 1993, has grown past 200 people and ships exports beyond India.

WT-MB, outdoor roller blind

Monsoon blinds

Weather-resistant exterior roller blinds, built for Indian weather. They block wind, rain, dust and UV so balconies, patios, verandas and cafe terraces stay usable all year, then roll back into a compact housing against the wall or ceiling.

Choose the fabric

Transparent PVC

Clear PVC keeps the space open and airy with an unobstructed view, while giving a complete weather barrier.

For cafes, restaurants and residential balconies

Mesh fabric

Open-weave mesh lets air through and filters light, while blocking rain and cutting wind speed.

For semi-open spaces and breezy settings

Residential balconies Patios and verandas Cafes and restaurants Hotel terraces Poolside areas Commercial exteriors Pergolas and gazebos Semi-open lobbies Retail frontages

Questions

Glass blinds

What are insulated glass blinds?

Integrated blind systems permanently sealed between two toughened glass panes, giving a dust-free, maintenance-free and damage-resistant shading solution. The blinds are worked by external controls (cord, magnet, knob or motor) without breaking the glass seal.

Which control options are available?

Manual options are cord-operated, magnetic slider and knob-operated systems. Motorised options can be run from wired switches, handheld remotes, or smart home automation such as KNX or Zigbee. All motorised systems need concealed wiring during installation.

Do they fit UPVC, wood and aluminium frames?

Yes. They are designed for all standard window frame materials (wood, UPVC and aluminium) and can be installed in fixed glass panels, openable windows and sliding doors.

What is the Skylight Blind System for?

Horizontal operation in overhead glazing: skylights, roof lanterns and atrium glass panels, where conventional vertical blinds cannot be used. Dual motors give smooth horizontal movement.

Are Argon gas-filled units available?

Yes. On request the insulated glass unit can be filled with Argon gas instead of standard air, for enhanced thermal insulation on energy-efficiency projects.

What warranty is offered?

A 5-year warranty on all insulated glass blind systems, covering manufacturing defects and mechanical faults in the sealed unit, slat mechanism and control hardware.

What is the maximum glass size?

The WT-VB-27 Venetian and the Honeycomb systems go up to 3 m height × 2 m width (4.5 to 5 sq m). The Skylight system goes up to 5 sq m. WT-VB-20 and WT-VB-23 have smaller maximum sizes; ask our team for project-specific sizing.

Can the system join a smart home?

Yes. Motorised insulated glass blinds can be integrated with smart home systems, including voice control, app control and automation protocols. Our team advises on compatible systems at specification stage.

Monsoon blinds

What is a monsoon blind?

A weather-resistant exterior roller blind that protects outdoor spaces from rain, wind, dust and UV, so balconies, patios and terraces stay usable in the Indian monsoon and through the year.

What fabrics are available?

Transparent PVC, for full weather protection with clear visibility, and open-weave mesh fabric, for airflow, light filtering and partial weather protection. Custom colours and opacities can be specified.

Can monsoon blinds be motorised?

Yes. They can be run by handheld remote or wired wall switch, or integrated with smart home systems for automated operation. Motorisation is recommended for large or high-mounted panels.

What mounting options are there?

Wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted or frame-mounted, to fit a balcony, pergola, veranda or commercial terrace.

Are custom sizes available?

Yes. Every monsoon blind is made to measure in width and drop. Send your measurements with the enquiry for an accurate quotation.

How are they maintained?

PVC and mesh fabrics clean with water and a mild detergent. The rolling mechanism should be lubricated periodically and inspected once a year.

Are they suitable for high-wind areas?

They are engineered for the typical wind and rain conditions found across India. For extreme wind loads, mention it in the enquiry so the team can recommend the right fabric weight and fixing specification.

Do they suit hospitality spaces?

Yes. Restaurants, cafes, hotels and commercial outdoor seating use them to extend usable floor area, give weather protection and improve guest comfort, with a clean, brand-consistent look.

Specifying a window, skylight or terrace?

Our team works directly with architects, interior designers and project teams to choose the right blind system for each opening.
